By car

North, on the highway A22 on the way to Bennero.
take the Chiusa/Val Gardena exit from the Brennero A22 motorway and continue along the state road in the direction of Bolzano until Ponte Gardena (about 10 km). At Ponte Gardena take the road for the Sciliar plateau /Castelrotto. After about 10 minutes you'll arrive Castelrotto... when you arrive Castelrotto you have to drive until the Konsummarkt (COOP Supermarkt), there you go on under the woodbrige and on the first street on the left side is our hotel Kastel Seiser Alm.

take the Bolzano Nord exit from the Brennero A22 motorway and continue along the state road in the direction of Brennero until Prato Isarco. At Prato Isarco take the road for the Sciliar/Castelrotto/Alpe di Siusi plateau. (Distance from the motorway exit to Compatsch/Alpe di Siusi: approx. 27 km.), when you arrive Castelrotto you drive until the Konsummarkt (Coop Supermarkt), there you go under the woodbrige and on the first street on the left side is our hotel Kastel Seiser Alm.

The IC and EC trains stopp in Bolzano and Bressanone. Our Busses bring you to Castelrotto or we have also a pick-up service from the train station.

Allgemeine Wetterlage
Die Anströmung sehr feuchter und kühler Luftmassen bleibt bestehen.
Vorhersage für heute
Am Nachmittag bleibt es trüb und zeitweise regnet und schneit es. Die Schneefallgrenze liegt tagsüber meist um 1000 m. In der Nacht werden die Niederschläge kräftiger und es schneit in einigen Tälern bis auf 500 m.
Die Temperaturen liegen zwischen 3° im Hochpustertal und 6° im Etschtal.
Wolken behindern die Sicht und es schneit in allen Gebirgsgruppen. Am meisten Schnee fällt Richtung Sextner Dolomiten, hier ist bis Mittwoch in Summe auch mehr als ein halber Meter Neuschnee möglich. In den restlichen Gebirgsgruppen erwarten wir 30 bis 50 cm.

 Allgemeine Wetterlage
Mit einem Italientief strömt weiterhin sehr feuchte und kühle Luft Richtung Alpen. Im Tagesverlauf lässt der Tiefdruckeinfluss langsam nach.
Vorhersage für morgen
Vor allem in den höheren Tälern beginnt der Tag winterlich mit Schneefall bis auf ca. 500 m Höhe. Im Tagesverlauf klingen die Niederschläge vom Vinschgau her ab und in den nördlichen Tälern wird es föhnig. Im Pustertal und den Dolomiten bleibt es bis zum Abend unbeständig. Die Nacht auf Donnerstag verläuft dann überall trocken.
Die Temperaturen liegen tagsüber zwischen 1° und 8°.
Am Vormittag schneit es verbreitet. Der Nachmittag verläuft am westlichen Hauptkamm bzw. in der Ortlergruppe bereits trocken, bis zum Abend klingt der Schneefall auch im Osten ab.

Worldwide, 199 scenic areas are on the UNESCO List of Natural World Heritage Sites. In Italy, the Dolomites are the second area of this type, joining the Aeolian Islands, which were added to the list in 2000.

Alpe di Siusi

The Alpe di Siusi, Europe’s largest high-altitude plateau, is located in the heart of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 26th June 2009. This plateau, surrounded by the South Tyrolean Dolomites, is 33 km from Bolzano, above the famous villages of Siusi allo Sciliar and Castelrotto.
